    Boris Dlugach

General manager of Russian ice hockey team U18

I have been to several World Championships and I can assure you that the conditions here, for guys of this age, are absolutely remarkable. The restaurant is open literally round-the-clock, the catering is wonderful, and as for the open buffet – what more can I say. Everyone's happy with the service, including the foreign teams – you can see that by how often they like to come in and eat here. The conditions in the hotel are fantastic – there's a great sports and fitness gym, an outstanding pool, and in general the hotel's grounds are really well-kept.

    Vladimir Tkachyov

Forward of Russian ice hockey team U18

Some of the guys had never seen so many spectators as today before, so a few of them were nervous before the game, while others encouraged them so they could begin calmly. Of course, the spectators helped us achieve victory, and my thanks to them for that. May they come and support us in future!

Both hockey facilities in Sochi are great, they are beautiful. The people as hosts are really providing us with great hospitality. Everybody who is committed and involved to make a good tournament is doing a first-class job. We are excited to be here and we want to continue to play well in the tournament. We want to take time to see Sochi, we have a day plan for a tour and sightseeing, just to enjoy ourselves. So, we want to combine the hockey and the area. It is a great area we don’t know a lot about, so we want to make sure we enjoy when we are here.

First, I want to congratulate Russia on the impressive results it achieved in the course of the competition. These indicate great promise for the Olympic Games. Next year we can expect to see a huge number of Russian fans in the stands in the "Adler-Arena". Second, this World Championship has shown us that the Sochi 2014 Organizing Committee has taken a highly professional approach in its preparations for the Games. I am confident that we will be witness to highly successful Olympic Games. The organizers have done an excellent job here.

Now everything is almost ready, which we have witnessed today while visiting sports venues of the Coastal Cluster. The stadiums are ready. I was very impressed with the "Ice Cube" Curling Center, which will host competitions in wheelchair curling, and "Shayba" Arena, where the tournaments in sledge hockey will be staged. It's just brilliant!

    Sergey Shilov

Skier, a six-times Paralympic Champion and Sochi 2014 Ambassador

The track at “Laura” is great, really interesting, the entire event is right before the spectators' eyes. So much is being done now that even if there were some issues, they are all dealt with, the organizers meet with us often, they ask how they can make it better. The organization is no worse, and even better, than the organization at any international competitions.
