Marina Pochinok (Pakhomkina) joined Sochi 2014 from TNK-BP where she had been Corporate Learning Director since 2004. In this role she was accountable for the design and implementation of TNK-BP’s individual and organizational development programs. In 2007 she was ranked in the top three Russian learning and development experts. From 2000, Mrs. Pochinok led the Human Resources function at Philips with a period, during 2003, in charge of international projects at the head office in the Netherlands. Whilst at Philips she was rated one of the top 20 HR managers in Russia. She began her career in the IT industry specializing in sales and marketing and has worked in the HR industry since 1996. Mrs. Pochinok is a graduate of Applied Mathematics and Computer Science from Moscow State University with diploma with honors. Ph.D. She is a Certified Professional in Human Resources and completed education at the world leading INSEAD business school. She is currently a professor of Human Resources Management at the Russian Government’s Academy of National Economy. Mrs. Pochinok was appointed to the judging panel of “People Investor 2008”, is a member of the National HR league and was awarded the medal for “Services to Science, Culture and Education in Russia” by the national organization Integration. She is married with a son and daughter and enjoys yoga, downhill skiing.
