Born in 1961 in Baku, Azerbaijan SSR, Grigory Kocharov graduated from the Technical Cybernetics Department of the Yerevan Polytechnic Institute in 1984. He then worked for the Nord NGO, before fulfilling a number of roles at Schlumberger between 1994 and 2000. Between 2001 and 2009 he worked for IBS as Managing Director of its Fuel and Energy function, and then as a board member overseeing the implementation of business applications and the company’s work with OAO Gazprom.
