Albert Demchenko is an honored, master of sports of the international-class in luge sports and Russia's first luger, who managed to win the World Cup men's singles. Albert Demchenko was born on November 27, 1971 in Chusovoy Perm region. He started practicing sports in 1984 and began luge sports in 1990. In the early 90s, the pair of lugers - Albert Demchenko and Aleksei Zelensky - was the strongest in the CIS. In 1995, Albert graduated from the Tchaikovsky branch of the Ural State Academy of Physical Culture.
