Olympic Champion and Sochi 2014 Ambassador
Anastasia Davydova is a five-time synchronized swimming Olympic Gold medalist and one of the biggest stars of Russian athletics.“I’m really excited to become a Sochi 2014 Ambassador for the first Winter Olympic Games in the history of Russia. In addition to the five Olympic gold medals Anastasia is a thirteen-time World Champion and seven-time European Champion in synchronized swimming. FINA has called Anastasia the best under-water swimmer of the decade.
Anastasia has set a new World record at the London Games and as a result has become the only five-time Olympic Champion in the history of synchronized swimming.
Anastaisa carried the flag of the Russian Federation at closing ceremony of the Olympic Games in London, at the end of which she was awarded the order «For merits before the Motherland» of IV degree. Following the 2012 Olympics Anastasia has finished her sports career and devoted herself to coaching work. No doubt that Anastasia will help to inspire a whole generation of outstanding champions!
