Luxembourg first took part in the Olympic Winter Games in 1928 and since 1988 has participated in every edition of Olympic Winter Games.
Luxembourg has won two medals, both silver and both won by alpine skier Marc Girardelli in Albertville in 1992. He finished second in the super G and giant slalom. Giradelli was the overall World Cup winner in 1985, 1986, 1989, 1991 and 1993.
