On March 2 and 3 the Torch of the Paralympic flame will visit several famous landmarks in the United Kingdom: the town of Marlow on Thames, the estate of Rothschild Waddesdon Manor, and even pay a visit to number 10 Downing Street, the Prime Minister’s residence in London. As part of the celebrations dedicated to the Sochi 2014 Paralympic Torch Relay, a spectacular show will take place on the stage of the Municipal Theatre in Aylesbury, in the county of Buckinghamshire, during which viewers will learn about the Paralympic Movement through movies, painting, storytelling, creative performances and thematic talks.
Tomorrow, on March 2, the famous "Russian Maslenitsa Festival" will take place in London's Trafalgar Square, in which Russian singer Dima Bilan, the author of the Sochi 2014 Paralympic Torch Relay hymn, will participate. Among the celebrations’ participants will also be Russian-speaking torchbearers: professional football referee Alexander Saliy, Olympic champion basketball Natalia Hart, and co-organizer of the Lobanovsky football tournament, Aina Mamaeva.
