Just a few days to go to the first in Russian history Paralympic Winter Games Panasonic one of the world leader in the electronics industry has become the Official Partner of the Paralympic Winter Games of 2014 in Sochi in the category "Audio-visual equipment".
At the Paralympic Games in Sochi, Panasonic will supply audio and video equipment to the competition venues and the International Broadcasting Center of the Main Media Center in Sochi and will also serve this equipment.
Under the agreement Panasonic will supply items including LED large screen display systems, professional audio systems, flat-screen TVs, digital cameras and broadcasting equipment. Panasonic will also equip competition venues and the International Broadcasting Center with high-definition video equipment (Full HD). The audiovisual systems of Panasonic will help to convey the passion and emotional intensity of the Games to viewers around the world.

Around 1,450 athletes and team members from more than 45 countries will compete in 72 competitions to win medals in five sports. Making the Games in 2014 truly successful is only possible through joint efforts: the efforts of the Sochi 2014 Organizing Committee and its Partners. Their financial contributions, the latest technologies and developments, and most importantly, the personal involvement of managers and ordinary employees, are integral components of the success of the 2014 Games. Since the program began in 2009, the Sochi 2014 Organizing Committee has attracted financial investment of more than 1.3 billion dollars, more than 3 times the obligations of the Bid Book. And this is 1.5 times more than the Vancouver Organizing Committee earned for the Games over the whole course of its lifetime. "The right to the use the Russian Olympic and Paralympic Marks can only be obtained by the exclusive TOP Partners of the IOC and the IPC, the Sochi 2014 National Partners at all levels, as well as companies that have entered into the appropriate license agreement with the Sochi 2014 Organizing Committee." This regulatory provision is enshrined in the "Olympic law" of the Russian Federation (Federal Law No. 310-ФЗ dated 01.12.2007).
