Today’s final session of the round-robin stage of Wheelchair Curling has decided the final two semi-finalists of the tournament.
The two remaining places in the lineup of the four strongest teams were secured by China and Great Britain. The match between the two teams ended with the victory for China (6:3), giving the Chinese one more point and a share of third place in the standings with the British team.
Slovakia lost to Russia 4:7, narrowly missing the chance to play in the semi-finals. In today’s other matches, Sweden beat South Korea (13:3) and Finland overcame Canada (12:1), but these matches had no effect on the semifinal reckoning.
Tomorrow, spectators will have the chance to see playoff tournament matches. Great Britain will play Russia at 09:30, with Canada and China battling it out next to them on the ice at the same time.
