Rostelecom, a General Partner of the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games and the "You're a reporter" project of RIA Novosti, the national host agency and photographer pool for the Sochi 2014 Games, have announced the launch of the all-Russian contest to find the best multimedia stories about athletes.
Winners of "Anchors away to the Games in Sochi." will become part of the Krusenshtern sailboat team and set off on an exciting sea voyage to the Olympic Games in Sochi.
Any registered participants in the "You're a reporter" citizen journalist project may participate in the contest. Applications for participation will be accepted from 3- 17 July . The creators of the most colourful and exciting multimedia reports will be announced on 19 July on "You're a reporter" site.
This is the second year that the contest is being held. In 2012 contest winners attended the London 2012 Games in London. They traveled to the British capital on board the barque Krusenshtern, which set sail from Brest (France).
Winners of this year's photo and video reporting contest will get to go on an unforgettable sailboat trip aboard the four-masted barque Kruzenshtern from Istanbul (Turkey) to Sochi, which will last from February 4 to 6, 2014.
During the trip guests will:
• Have an opportunity to participate on the interior guard duty of the ship and to receive training in sailing
• Receive plane tickets from Moscow to Istanbul and from Sochi to Moscow
• Receive tickets to the Sochi 2014
• Gain rights to keep a daily multimedia "Diary of the Winter Games" on the site of the "You're a reporter" project.
Please note travel to Moscow and back is not covered. To receive the prize package, the winners of the "Anchors away to the Games in Sochi" must have a passport for foreign travel which expires no earlier than six months after the trip.
