The Sochi 2014 Organizing Committee has revealed that the Sochi 2014 Olympic Games Opening Ceremony will start at 20:14 pm Moscow Time on February 7, 2014. The time symbolizes the year that the first ever Olympic Winter Games will be staged in Russia.
The Opening Ceremony will take place at the "Fisht" Olympic Stadium and will last approximately three hours. In total, 3,000 young talented people from higher and middle schools, as well as artistic groups, will take part in the Opening and Closing Ceremonies which will include dance and acrobatic performances. Around 2,000 Sochi 2014 volunteers will help to organize the Opening and Closing Ceremonies both on stage and behind the scenes. Auditions and training of the participants is being carried out by the "Ceremonies Staging Agency".
