Today Dow in Russia together with the IOC, the Sochi 2014 Organizing Committee commemorated Dow's Worldwide sponsorship with the Olympics. This special occasion marks a significant milestone in the almost 40-year history of Dow’s continuous presence in Russia. In view of first in Russian history Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, Dow will contribute its global expertise, scientific excellence and sustainable products that are necessary for Olympic-related infrastructure and equipment helping ensure the success of the 2014 Sochi Games.

Officially opened by Marko Blagovic, General Manager of Dow in Russia and the CIS, the flag-raising ceremony was feature speeches by Dmitry Chernyshenko, President and CEO of the Sochi 2014 Organizing Committee; and Evan Hunt, Head of Business Development International Olympic Committee (IOC). Maria Kiseleva, three-time Olympic champion in synchronized swimming.
