Today Dmitry Chernyshenko, President of Sochi 2014 Organizing Committee, visited VOLKSWAGEN Group Rus showcase in the Olympic Park in Sochi.
He saw Ilya Averbukh’s Living Medal Count dancing show, which takes place three times a day. Living Medal Count Show is an exciting and vivid performance that informs the guests of the Games about the current status of the national teams and the medal table and also shows an unusual interpretation of each of winter Olympic sports.
Dmitry Chernyshenko also noted the unparalleled design of the VOLKSWAGEN Group Rus showcase combining the latest developments in architecture, design and sport.

During the Sochi 2014 Winter Olympics and Paralympics, the VOLKSWAGEN Group Rus showcase is also an information center for the year's most prominent sports event. The showcase floor space is about 2,000 sq. m. It houses an interactive screen, Radio Mayak broadcasting room, a press service area, and a reception hall, as well as the Czech and German National Olympic Committee headquarters. Over 5,000 people including Russian and foreign sports stars, TV and radio celebrities visit the showcase every day.

In 2009 Volkswagen Group Rus became the official automobile partner for the Sochi 2014 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games. The company has provided the Sochi-2014 Organizing Committee with more than 3,000 cars from the Volkswagen, Audi, ŠKODA, and Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles brands in order to transport guests during the preparations for the 2014 Games and over the course of the Games themselves.
