For the first time in the history of the Winter Olympic Games, the Sochi 2014 Organizing Committee started selling "club level" tickets. These tickets are for hockey matches taking place in the Bolshoy Ice Dome during the 2014 Olympic Games. Spectators who purchase these tickets can cheer for their favorite hockey teams in private glassed-in area with its own entrance. "Club level" ticket holders will also be able to purchase food and drink during the tournaments or intervals.
"Club level" tickets are now available on the official ticketing site (tickets.sochi2014.com), in the Main Ticket Centers in Moscow and Sochi and in ticket box offices at the venues.
Tickets will start at 4,000 rubles, depending on the match. Their price resembles that of tickets graded B category.
Notes for the editor
The Sochi 2014 Ticketing Program is one of the largest scale in the history of the Winter Games thanks to the record number of sports and new events included in the Games Program.
The Sochi 2014 Sports Program has set an Olympic record both for the overall quantity of competition types as well as the number of new sports types included in the Program. In total, 12 competition types have been added to the 2014 Olympic Winter Games Sports Program. As a result, the total number of types of events and sets of medals in the program is 98, of which 29 will be held in the Coastal Cluster and 69 in Mountain cluster. That is 12 more than at the Vancouver 2010 Games, and 14 times more than at the Turin 2006 Games.
