The German company Bauerfeind AG, one of the leading producers of orthopedic aids, has been announced as a "therapeutic braces and supports" Supplier for the 2014 Olympic Winter Games in Sochi. The deal was agreed by the President of the Sochi 2014 Organizing Committee, Dmitry Chernyshenko, and Bauerfeind AG Chief Commercial Officer International, Dirk Treiber. The company will provide therapeutic braces and services at the Olympic Games - specialized products for the treatment of sports injuries - supports, orthoses, compression stockings and insoles. More than 20 types of products will be available, amounting to a total of 2,000 items.
Bauerfeind AG is recognized as a leader in the field of therapeutic orthopedics. The most common injuries in winter sports affect knees, hands and feet, and the company will provide products to treat these injuries and others at the Sochi Games. Thanks to Bauerfeind AG's innovative measurement process, the company's specialists, working with doctors and physiotherapists, will be able to customize the supports, orthoses, compression stockings or insoles for each injury, taking into account the size and anatomical features of each athlete.
