Thanks to the activities in preparation for the Games, we have managed to construct the new Bzugu sewage treatment plant with a capacity of 140 million cubic meters. The treatment technologies are being used in Russia for the second time. Only St. Petersburg has a treatment plant of this type.

The city can show what we must strive to achieve in the future, and can prove that we are capable of creating new cities, and of reorganizing and restructuring our older cities. Over a period of several years, thousands of Kuban residents have been provided with steady employment and excellent salaries. The main transport routes throughout the entire Krasnodar Region have been modernized. In the future, we will see an even greater acceleration of economic growth in the Krasnodar Region. A first-rate center for global tourism has been created in Sochi, which will provide substantial tax income for the Regional treasury.
