The Sochi 2014 Olympic Torch has been lit in the North Pole for the first time. The world's largest ice-breaker, the Rosatom's "50 Years of Victory" reached the very heart of the Arctic, as part of the Sochi 2014 Olympic Torch Relay. The special project was organized by the Presenting Partners, the Coca-Cola Company, OSAO "Ingosstrakh" and OAO "RZD".
The Sochi 2014 Organizing Committee continued its series of Paralympic lessons in Russian schools, conducted by Sochi 2014 "Our Champions". The event took place on 10 October in Moscow at secondary school No. 1113 specializing in music and choreography.
Today the Olympic Torch Relay visited socially significant places in the capital city. The Sochi 2014 Ambassadors Irina Slutskaya, Lidya Skoblivoka and Diana Gurtskaya, together with an Olympic Lantern, visited charity, social and community institutions and were also welcomed by the Presenting Partners of the Sochi 2014 Olympic Torch Relay, the Coca-Cola Company, OSAO "Ingosstrakh" and "RZD".
