BOSCO Confirmed New Sochi 2014 Official Retail Operator
BOSCO, the General Partner and licensee of the Sochi 2014 Olympic and Paralympic Games, has become the Sochi 2014 official retail operator. The license agreement was signed by the President and CEO of the Sochi 2014 Organizing Committee, Dmitry Chernyshenko, and the head of BOSCO Group, Mikhail Kusnirovich. Under the terms of the agreement, the company is set to open over 30 Sochi 2014 retail outlets across the country which will offer customers the licensed collection of BOSCO clothing and shoes and a full range of licensed products with Sochi 2014 Games marks. The Olympic Flagship Store is now open in the heart of Moscow, at the GUM Department Store on the Red Square.
The first visitors to the Olympic Flagship Store in GUM, which will feature over 1,500 types of Sochi 2014 licensed products, included the International Olympic Committee Member and the President of the Russian Olympic Committee, Aleksandr Zhukov, the President and CEO of the Sochi 2014 Organizing Committee, Dmitry Chernyshenko, the head of the BOSCO Group, Mikhail Kusnirovich, the Managing Director of the joint stock company "Trading House "GUM", Teimuraz Guguberidze and a number of Sochi 2014 Ambassadors and Olympic champions from throughout history.
The guests were welcomed at the entrance by the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games mascots: the Polar Bear, Leopard and Hare.
The licensed Sochi 2014 Olympic retail outlets will be represented across Russia. They include Sochi 2014 Olympic Flagship Store in GUM, Superstore in the Olympic Park, Olympic Stores, retail outlets at the Olympic and Paralympic venues and mobile track for providing official Sochi 2014 merchandise.
During the Sochi 2014 Games, various retail outlets ranging from 5m2 to 2,500 m2 will be located at all sports and non-competition venues, including Olympic (Paralympic) Villages and media centers. The smallest shop will be open in the Endurance Village in Krasnaya Polyana and the largest by size and range of products available will be the Sochi 2014 Superstore in the Olympic Park.
In October, the list of Sochi 2014 retail outlets will be extended by the three new facilities: on Novy Arbat Avenue in Moscow, at the Sochi seaport and at Rosa Khutor Alpine Ski Center in Krasnaya Polyana. From October 7 to mark the launch of the Olympic Torch Relay, a mobile Sochi 2014 retail outlet will travel from Red Square across Russia and offer a wide range of licensed products from key rings to anoraks. This one of a kind vehicle will travel 27,000 miles and visit 63 cities, constantly accompanying the Olympic Torch and reaching more than 50% of the population throughout Russia.
All Olympic stores operated by BOSCO will present the full range of Sochi 2014 licensed merchandise: colorful badges and key rings, educational toys, unique clothing and accessories for pets, beloved upcoming Games mascots, original notebooks and pens for school pupils and much more. A collection of Sochi 2014 clothes will occupy a special place, which includes jackets, sweatshirts, several kinds of tracksuits, long and short-sleeved polo shirts, winter jackets and trousers, sweaters and cardigans, men's thick knitwear, t-shirts, and backpacks, as well as a large selection of hats, caps and gloves.
The President and CEO of the Sochi 2014 Organizing Committee, Dmitry Chernyshenko, marked:
