Tickets for the Olympic Summer Games of 2012 in the city of London have gone on sale in Russia in April 2011.
The Sochi 2014 Organizing Committee became a partner of the London 2012 Organizing Committee for ticketing program on the territory of Russia. Please note that, in accordance with the London 2012 organizers rules, the number of tickets available for purchase in Russia is limited.
To implement the «London 2012» ticketing program, directed by the Games’ organizers in London, the Sochi 2014 Organizing Committee carried out a selection procedure, during which the ticket sales agents in Russia for the London Olympic Games were selected.
The only one official London 2012 ticketing agent in Russia Russia is «KASSIR.RU». In accordance with the London 2012 organizers rules, number of tickets allocated per person is limited - 49 tickets in total per person. Personified receipts are issued confirming the purchase and must be exchanged for tickets in London between July 15 and August 12, 2012; only the receipt holder themselves can receive tickets having shown their passport on collection. These measures are meant to prevent ticket touting or passing tickets to a third parties.
