In March of 2011 residents of Russia got the possibility to buy the tickets to the Olympic competitions that are taking place in London in 2012.The Sochi 2014 Organizing Committee became a partner of the London 2012 Organizing Committee for ticketing program on the territory of Russia.
At the end of 2010, to implement the “London 2012” ticketing program, directed by the Games’ organizers in London, the Sochi 2014 Organizing Committee carried out a selection procedure, during which the ticket sales agent in Russia for the London Olympic Games was selected. The company “KASSIR.RU’’ was selected as the agent. Its application best satisfied the tender’s criteria. Maximum in-country coverage of its distribution network, experience in executing large scale ticket projects, and other requirements placed by the Organizers of the London Olympic Games on the ticket agent, served as criteria for selection of the agent.
Tickets went on sale in March 2011. The quantity of tickets one person can purchase will be limited and will vary by sport. In accordance with the London 2012 organizers, ticket prices including handling fees will not exceed 20% ticket face value. London 2012 tickets may only be purchased through authorized sales agents appointed by Sochi 2014 who identify themselves with the London 2012 Authorized Ticket Reseller logo. Any other resale sources are considered illicit and are not to be trusted. All spectators that purchase stand alone tickets (tickets not within travel and/or accommodation packages), must obtain their own UK visit Visa and arrange their own flights and lodging.
