February 26, Moscow, Russia – Based on a national vote held during the live broadcast of "Talismania. Sochi 2014.

The final" on Channel One Russia, the following were selected as the mascots for the Olympic Games in Sochi: the Hare, the Polar Bear and the Leopard. The Ray of Light and the Snowflake were chosen as the mascots for the Paralympic Games.
