I would say that we’re delighted to see how the preparations are going for the Olympic Games in Sochi. Our Russian friends have done some great work and are running to schedule on all of it.

Staging the Olympic Games without volunteers would be unthinkable. I am pleased to see that a burning heart was chosen to symbolize the volunteer campaign. It represents the mood and spirit of those taking part in the movement.

I want to show everyone, by my skating, that I can still perform, even after winning the Olympic Games. I can't say where I will finish at my fourth Olympics, but for me, taking part in the Games in Sochi will be a victory in itself.
